Tennis day today, then lunch afterwards. Although Pascale had already eaten her lunch she was ready to try Ahma's food. Gow gees went down well, as did the zucchini slice which contained egg. She was also keen on the watermelon gelato even tho she shivered and made a face after every spoonful.
Pascale wandered around the house with an inquisitive expression and attitude. She heard children in the spare room and walked in to watch Jasmine, Alex and Lorien play on the bunk beds. She wandered over to Chris who was watching Aliens3 with Ben and Mark. She played with some toys and books. She went to Priscilla for hugs and nibbles of her lunch. Then mother and daughter went outside as it wasn't raining (followed by Charlotte and Elora and their mums). Pascale explored the front yard and found an empty snail shell that she carried around for a while. She also inspected the bark chips and azalea flowers, some yellow fallen leaves, and the roll of astroturf.
In the back yard she walked the planks above the grassed stormwater detention zone. She ran her hands over gravel in buckets and replaced some that had fallen out of the buckets. She walked up and down the back steps, nearly scoring her 3rd big bruise on her forehead when she tripped on the tiled lower landing and ended with her head JUST short of the bottom tread.
Later she watched surf lifesaving competition and rugby league on tv, next to where Yeh Yeh's barber shop was in progress. Occasionally Pascale offered various items to whoever was around: lego-type bricks, shopping receipts, play necklaces.
She fell asleep at 5pm, within 15 minutes of leaving the action centre. She was very happy despite her tiredness and did not complain.
