Eating out: Japanese

Pascale sat on a booster seat with its own table. She stared at the decor with painted paper lanterns and bud lights, and at the table of diners opposite. Initially she ate what her mum had brought along in the thermos (was starving by 545pm) but as dishes were brought to the table she stopped opening her mouth for dinner and indicated that she wanted to try the food from that dish.
Pickled turnip appetisers - disliked and resumed eating dinner
Stringy carrot from cabbage salad - nice to play with, resumed eating
Teriyaki chicken slices - fed herself a few pieces
Corn on the cob (cold) - ate it all
Boiled rice - let mum feed her some, some she self-fed with hands
Tempura sweet potato - liked the batter, sweet potato was too hard

Pascale only made a fuss when she wanted to leave the booster seat at the end of everyone's meal.
