Pascale and Abi were being minded by Edith at her unit.
Pascale was upset when her mother left the unit. She clung to Gung Gung. Then when he made preparations to leave as well, and Pascale became very upset. She cried and even banged the front door after him. Edith gave Pascale a cuddle and she took a small nap, waking up a bit more calm. When Priscilla returned from shopping she decided to give the girls a bath before going out to bi-sun and dinner.
Unfortunately after Abi had taken off all her clothes and Pascale was only in her nappy and singlet, Edith discovered that her water heater had tripped and had to boil water in a jug to give the girls their bubble bath (very enjoyable despite the wait).
The gathering of relatives at the bi-sun was too exciting for Pascale to eat any of the dinner that Por Por had prepared for her, despite it being past her dinner time. She was busy walking around taking everything in. When the bi-sun delicacies were distributed for eating, she tried quite a few items: sugar balls (yum), almond porridge (ok) water chestnut slice (yuk), egg custard tart (ok).
At the restaurant banquet afterwards, Pascale once again refused her packed dinner. She held out for the boiled rice and braised plain chicken strips that had been ordered for the children. After eating for a while she wanted to get onto the floor to play and explore. Quite a few times she walked out of the private function room into the main restaurant area, and had to be retrieved from the kitchen/fish tank area/ other function room. Then she started to lie on the floor and this was a sign that she was ready to be put to sleep. After a short enclosed ride in the stroller Pascale fell asleep and was wheeled back inside the restaurant where she remained oblivious to the sounds around her. Also she was in the group photo while sleeping in the stroller. Priscilla was amazed.
When the family got into the car to go home, Pascale opened her eyes and went back to sleep quickly. She allowed herself to be carried inside and her nappy to be changed and put into a sleeping bag then into the cot.
