Aquarium

Pascale was very tired from the dinner the night before, and the crying in the middle of the night. She wanted to be held, and accepted offer of a backpack ride to the light rail. Before her father had walked to the station Pascale had fallen asleep. Awoke on time 45mins at the aquarium lobby. During the initial displays Pascale was passive and dozy inside the backpack. Then she livened up and wanted to dip her arms into the touch and feel tank - anemone, starfish. Also another tank with shark eggs the shape of a double helix!

At the seal display, Chris was holding Pascale and pointing out a seal in the water beyond. Suddenly this seal walked up the ramp towards Pascale and looked at her, pointing its nose up and stayed for a few minutes. Other children quickly ran up to look at the seal, then it turned around and slid down the ramp back into the water.

Pascale livened up when she saw the barrier reef fish display, then walked a bit by herself. She saw Abi and Madeleine dancing and running and this inspired her to move around a bit. But after we left the aquarium and walked along King St Wharf, Pascale quickly fell asleep in the backpack until dinner time in Chinatown. Once we got home there was a quick shower with Abi and the 2 sisters went to bed and slept soundly until morning.
