Just noticed today at Gymbaroo that Pascale has matured in the past week. As soon as the mat music was played she looke up from what she was doing and walked over there. On Equipment time she looked around at the tasks to select one, rather than just run between them, and at one point grabbed all the yellow bean bags out of the multicoloured basketful. Then she indicated the swing and was put onto it, happy to watch everyone. The teacher caught her eye as she was setting up the final mat time with maracas, one of Pascale's favourite things. As soon as the mat time music was played Priscilla asked Pascale if she wanted to go and there was an emphatic nod. Pascale then selected the blue maracas and started to shake them to the music by herself. She also knocked them against each other in frot of her tummy, raised them up above her head, and knocked them behind her back, all unassisted. As the class finished, each person put their name tag and bib into a little bin. Pascale did this, then picked up the entire bin and was guided to take it to the lady at the front desk. Reward was a hand stamp.
After gymbaroo Pascale was fairly tired and ate a muesli bar before falling asleep in the car. We then went to meet the Sydney Childrens' Hospital dietician.
Later, Pascale met up with Abi at Broadway food court. She was very happy to see her Jeh Jeh and immediately gave to Abi the book that she was carrying. On the drive home, Pascale started spitting out her drink, playing with the juice and letting it soak her face and clothes, much to Chris' dismay.
Before bathtime, Abi had a tantrum and was crying as she was put onto the toilet. Pascale looked very concerned and stood in front of Abi. She then patted Abi on the head with both hands, very gently, and took a tissue to wipe Abi's eyes. After the tantrum, the sisters played for a while in the bathtub. At one time they washed each other with their respective washcloths, back and chest.
