After eying the craft area, Pascale now uses a nearby box/play kitchen/basket of newspapers/cushion to give herself a boost up onto the sofa separating craft area from play area. Then it's a matter of scrambling along the arms/sofa to drop over the edge and into the destination. Classic intuitive climbing technique, raising leg to hip level and standing on tippy toe.
Now the computer area held a similar fascination and was fenced by an Ikea step stool between storage boxes and side cupboard. Today she stood on a small fan heater and managed to scramble onto the stool. Triumphant smile followed by outrage as Chris picked her up and put her back down outside the computer area, pulling the heater away. Pascale was furious, crying and complaining. She returned to the barrier and put herself flat onto the floor, then crawled under and nearly emerged except for her shoulders. She retracted and tried to cave through another opening in the stool framing. This time with success, and was rewarded with looking at some photos on the computer and being able to touch the mouse. Whenshe wanted to press buttons on the processor, Priscilla picked up Pascale and removed her to the bathroom, generating similar outrage and complaints. Suddenly quiet as Pascale was distracted by Abi and the bath toys.
