Today was the last the kids will see of gung gung (and vice versa) for a month as he will be away on holiday in HK. Amid all the rush to tidy the garage and pack his bags, Gung Gung unexpectedly came into Pascale's room as she was struggling with her mother about the morning nap. He said "Do you want a hug from Gung Gung before you go to sleep?", then pick up Pascale and put her into the sleeping position on his right arm. She calmed down and locked eyes with Gung Gung.
Then followed a few minutes of wonderful tenderness as Gung Gung held on to Pascale, rocking and patting and swaying. When Pascale started to struggle again (she must have felt her eyes getting heavy), Gung Gung gently gave Pascale to her mother and left to continue his work. Pascale fell asleep soon afterwards, sleeping like a log for 2 hours (usually 45mins).
