Play date at Lena's

During the Montessori lunch club/play session one day, Lena Perlman was on the swings while Pascale was on the other, both being pushed by Ian Perlman. Lena asked if Pascale could come to her house for a play date?

That Wednesday we followed Lena and her mother Ruth as they drove home to Bayview Crescent Annandale for lunch and short play. We ate our sandwiches at their dinner table, looking out to the many trees and trunks visible from the windows. Afterwards Pascale and Lena played with the dolls, doll houses before finding the dressup box and trying a few dresses. The girls danced almost independent of the other, parallel play, then did some craft before more dancing.

Pascale asked to borrow a pair of Lena's dress up shoes - high heels of course - when we were leaving. As we drove away she fell asleep still clutching onto the bright pink high heel shoes.

NB. Their house is 3 levels down a hill side, carport/study in the roof space, living spaces mid level, bedrooms lowest level. Many tree trunks or canopies visible from inside the house, strategically placed picture windows. Beautiful crystal collection in old buffet, window seats and comfy sofa, lots of framed pictures by artists and children.
