During today's visit to Balmain Library, Pascale was busy studying a book on colours of fruit/veg accompanied by words. She chose 3 similar books to borrow: the Usborne series with scenes then some items from that scene set out with name underneath.
At our bedtime reading, Pascale read the single words diligently, sometimes guessing based on the picture. However her real reading ability was shown when Priscilla read "Grug learns to read". One of the pictures shows Crug writing on a chalkboard. Pascale correctly identified those words without prompting:"Grug", "is", "small", "and", ("round").
