During this past week, we have noticed that Pascale has increased her awareness and opinions on what she is to wear. Especially in the mornings she will point to a dress hanging around her room, saying that is what she wants to wear. Sometimes she will let leggings be put on her, sometimes not. Over the weekend, Por Por discovered that Pascale likes to wear underpants, over her nappy of course. First she put a pair of Abi's undies on her head at bathtime, then the next morning she held a pair of size 2-3 undies in front of herself, insisting that they be put on.
Pascale likes her yellow t-shirt best (yellow and orange are her favourite colours), but has a soft spot for her red sleeveless top with white polka dots. Today after waterplay, she allowed the adult to change her plain yellow singlet only when shown a nice frilly sleeved top.
Once she sat down and looked at her leggings, then repeated the word "heart" as she pointed to each heart on the pattern covering the leggings. She likes hearts, and first discovered them on a mug used by Priscilla for her hot drinks. Luckily her name tags (mini) have a heart pictogram.
Shoes: Pascale's on-going interest in other people's shoes leads naturally into selecting her own footwear. Today she wore blue velcro sandals that were 2 sizes too big. Sometimes she wants her black patent mary janes with shiny hearts on it. The pink crocs are a favourite, and she quickly learnt to walk with them on despite their being a bit big still. Abi's squeaky slippers bought from HK are also a favourite for their acoustic novelty.
