Montessori

Pascale learnt to use a trigger squeeze bottle today. She was shown how using two hands, then fiddled with it until she produced a spray of water. This was repeated many times, pointing sideways, upwards, at herself, at other people, at the fence, at the glass, at the pot plant. Then Pascale got distracted by some boys climbing a rattly gate and went to join in their fun.

Food prep: coated 3 water crackers with honey then ate them all at the same table (naughty mother)
Water play: just turned the tap on and off with a jug underneath for 5 minutes or so, poured some water from glass into already full jug, tried to walk to eating table with jug of water but slipped over. Didn't wash anything up but saw it being done.
Scissors (!) nearly snipped finger but just made cuts under guidance on a sheet of paper. Not interested in flower arranging (intent of the scissors)
Painting and chalk board - a short while on each
Pets: loved the goldfish, not interested in wrens nor mouse

Note: Pam not there from this week to end of term. Faith is getting some experience being director for when she starts the Thursday Island posting.
